I’ve heard about and met people who purchase a new PC and when they need to do something, they get stopped right in their tracks, because they don’t know how to do something. Copy files, rename files, move files, find files, change this, edit that etc. Then if the person is lucky, they have a friend who seems like the answer to all problems with PCs. But, not everyone is so fortunate.
If this seems like you, don’t feel bad, you are not alone! The nice thing about the Internet, is that there is a vast amount of help and useful information available to help you. Problems like this is is why this blog exists. To help New PC Users with their daily woes. I can’t possibly provide everything to people like you, but, I can get the ball rolling in a positive direction. The next time you find yourself in a frustrating PC situation, you can either come here to New PC Users to search for answers including submitting your problems here and If you still need answers you can also do a google search on your problem/situation. From the google search engine, just type what your problem is in one short sentence and you may be amazed on what you find. This may or may not help, depends on your situation.
In the OK, But page you can find topics that may assist you in getting started with a situation. The Problems page is just that to let you submit your problems for answers. There is also courses available on specific topics. See the Courses page for more information. I have a tab at the upper right called Your Assignment. This page is to get you started in learning about your New PC. It’s just a starting point for New users.
I do realize and understand that being a New PC user is not always fun and exciting. There are those moments that can be frustrating. I’m sorry to admit this to you, but, even I have those days now after using PCs for over 20 years. You just learn to deal with the issues as they come. Always feel free to leave comments and ask questions anytime!
