What is a computer? Well, it’s nothing more than a box with storage, memory, boards, ports, wires, diskette and/or CD and DVD drives all wrapped up waiting for whatever you need or want to use it for.
With that said…
You can play games, music, create documents, forms, websites, programs, batch files, watch movies, receive email, and the list goes on and on. I used to say and sometimes still say that a computer is nothing more than an over glorified typewriter with storage and memory. Computers really haven’t changed all that much in the past 20 years. Oh, sure, they are faster, has more storage and can do more things, but in a sense, they are still the same. They have Ram, Rom, Disk drives, boards and ports. They just got faster and can do more that’s all.
You can group them together to make specially designed systems or you can use them in single work stations. You can make servers out of them and/or use a single computer as a backup system for other PCs. Computers are like clay, waiting for someone to mold them into what they are needed for.
Oh wait. Yes, I have. I’m sorry, but I just don’t have it in me right now to type it all out again. Besides, it was just ramblings anyway. You didn’t want to hear me go on and on about this, right?
Oh, but, yes, please do go on, there is nothing wrong with ramblings. This Blog is for people who are new to using computers or, those who need a simpler approach to using computers. But, anyone who wants can make use of this blog.
